Our International Teams

The local context determines the action. That’s why we come alongside to coach, support, and raise up leaders around the world in ways that make sense for that context.

Bulgaria

Protecting Vulnerable Girls

Generations of racism towards Roma families lead to severe poverty, unemployment, lack of access to health care, and education, leaving Roma girls marginalized and vulnerable to human trafficking. We partner with Free Methodist missionaries and local leaders to protect Roma and Bulgarian girls, mobilize churches as a strong line of defense, and train up communities to identify and address human trafficking in their neighborhoods.

Hungary

Equipping, Protecting, and Preventing

Our team in Hungary focuses on protecting the “forgotten” children in their communities. The SFM Hungary team visits and educates children, youth, and women in state-run homes, safe houses, and schools. Using customized resources like booklets and socio-economic games that teach the reality of vulnerability, the team brings awareness to how people are coerced into being trafficked.

India

Keeping Children Safe and Home

India has the highest prevalence of slavery in the world, with an estimated 18 million people forced into bonded labor, prostitution, child trafficking, and other forms of exploitation. Our local leader in India repatriates missing and trafficked children. They raise crucial awareness regarding human trafficking, equip caregivers and churches to protect their children against child exploitation, and navigate proper access to resources.

Kenya

Advocating and Mentoring

Young Women

Domestic violence remains prevalent in Kenya. Women are left vulnerable to abuse and human trafficking. Yvonne and Lillian, through our partner organization THRIVE, are mentoring, educating, and protecting young women from the vulnerabilities of gender-based violence and human trafficking.

Philippines

Child Online Safety and Exploitation Prevention

Tens of thousands of children are victims of online sexual exploitation, a billion-dollar industry in the Philippines. Our local leader, Ken, partners with local churches, social service agencies, and universities to train parents, and pastors, mobilize churches, and protect children. They work to build a community with zero tolerance for exploitation and human trafficking.

Columbia

Outreach and Support

Many children come from communities where drugs, gangs, and prostitution is on every blog. Many are refugees in need of food, role models, and a new future. As a trained social worker, Mayra and her team are working on mission with God to create new futures for vulnerable children. They support and mentor children and youth, letting them know they are loved and made in the image of God.
